Removal
1 Locate camera/
AirPort/Bluetooth/
connector and black
shim on the logic
board.
2 Using a black stick,
pry the shim from
the logic board. If
you don’t remove
the shim, you could
damage the logic
board and/or the
camera cable.
Important: Be sure
to replace the shim
after you reconnect
the cable. Otherwise,
the cable could work
loose, resulting in no
video. An extra shim
may be included with
the replacement logic
board.
3 Peel EMI gasket off
camera cable
connector (A).
4 Disconnect camera
cable from logic
board (B). Pull cable
toward the optical
drive, on same
horizontal plane as
the logic board.
