TABLE 4. Significant lode deposits, locations, <strong>and</strong> major metals for major Proterozoic <strong>and</strong> Phanerozoic metallogenic<br />

belts in <strong>the</strong> <strong>Russian</strong> <strong>Far</strong> <strong>East</strong>, <strong>Alaska</strong>, <strong>and</strong> <strong>the</strong> Canadian Cordillera. Refer to Figures 2-18 for location <strong>of</strong><br />

metallogenic belts. For each time interval (time-stage), metallogenic belts are listed in a clockwise order, according<br />

to similar tectonic environments, starting with <strong>the</strong> area <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>Russian</strong> Sou<strong>the</strong>ast <strong>and</strong> ending with <strong>the</strong> area <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />

sou<strong>the</strong>rn Canadian Cordillera. Attributes <strong>of</strong> lode deposits <strong>and</strong> characteristics <strong>of</strong> metallogenic belts are defined <strong>and</strong><br />

adapted from Nokleberg <strong>and</strong> o<strong>the</strong>rs (1997a, b, 1998b) <strong>and</strong> as modified herein. Abbreviations given for<br />

metallogenic belts as depicted on generalized maps <strong>of</strong> metallogenic belts <strong>and</strong> host rocks (Figures 2-18) <strong>and</strong> on<br />

metallogenic-tectonic model for Devonian through Present (Figures 19-32). For each metallogenic belt, mineral<br />

deposits listed in alphabetical order. Most major mineral deposits for <strong>the</strong> Yukon Territory (northwest Canadian<br />

Cordillera) have deposit numbers from <strong>the</strong> MlNFlLE <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Yukon Geological Survey (Dekelerk, 2002) listed in<br />

parens after <strong>the</strong> deposit name. These deposits descriptions can be accessed from <strong>the</strong> Yukon Geological Survey<br />

MINFILE Web site at: http:llwww.geology.gov.yk.ca/minfilel. Most major mineral deposits for British Columbia<br />

(southwest Canadian Cordillera) have deposit numbers from MINFILE (2002) listed in parens after <strong>the</strong> deposit<br />
