Welcome to our 15th birthday issue

THIS IS A very special month for all of us
at easyJet. On 10 November we celebrate
the 15th anniversary of our airline. It’s
amazing to think just how far we have
come since that fi rst fl ight from Luton to
Glasgow in 1995. We started with one plane
and a small but enthusiastic team. Today
we have a fl eet of 190 aircraft and employ
over 6,000 people across the UK, France,
Germany, Switzerland, Italy and Spain.
When Stelios founded easyJet, low
fares were a revolutionary concept. easyJet
changed the airline industry forever. Initially,
we introduced inexpensive fl ights to the
UK but with the help of our people and
our customers, we have grown to become
Europe’s leading low fares airline. Today
we fl y 50 million passengers a year across
540 routes and 29 countries in one of the
world’s newest fl eets. The average age of
our planes is three-and-a-half years young.
As you know, we are proud to provide
the lowest fares to the most convenient
airports, while giving a warm and friendly
service. You tell us you like our service and
transparent pricing as it lets you see exactly
what a fl ight will cost. For our part, we hope
to exceed your expectations. We come from
the standpoint that low fares should not
mean a compromise on customer service.
Going forward, our aim is to further
enhance the easyJet experience so that
fl ying is easier – from the moment you
get to the airport, to the journey itself and
arriving at your destination. We want to
constantly improve what we do and you
can help us by giving me your ideas on how

puesto que el 10 de noviembre de 2010
celebraremos el 15º aniversario de nuestra
aerolínea. Impresiona ver hasta dónde hemos llegado
desde nuestro primer vuelo de Luton a Glasgow en 1995.
Comenzamos con un avión y ahora disponemos de 190
aviones y empleamos más de 6.000 personas.
Cuando Stelios fundo easyJet, fue una gran
innovación, ya que cambió la manera de ver los viajes
cortos. Creamos el concepto de los vuelos de bajo
coste al Reino Unido y, con la colaboración de todos los
empleados de easyJet y, naturalmente, de vosotros,
nuestros clientes, hemos crecido hasta convertirnos
en una aerolínea europea que transporta a más de 50
millones de pasajeros al año por más de 540 rutas en
29 países diferentes.

servicio jugará un papel incluso más importante. Con la

infatti, la compagnia compie 15 anni! È
meraviglioso pensare a quanta strada abbiamo percorso
da quel primo volo da Luton a Glasgow nel 1995.
Quando Stelios inventò easyJet, ci fu una rivoluzione
nel modo di viaggiare delle persone. Abbiamo
inizialmente introdotto il concetto di voli low cost nel
Regno Unito e poi, con l’aiuto di tutti coloro che lavorano
in easyJet, ma soprattutto grazie a voi passeggeri, siamo
cresciuti costantemente fi no a diventare la compagnia
low-fares leader in Europa. Attualmente trasportiamo
quasi 50 milioni di passeggeri ogni anno, e offriamo 540
collegamenti in 29 paesi diversi.
I nostri 15 anni di attività segnano un traguardo,
ma anche un nuovo punto di inizio. L’obiettivo di
easyJet è infatti quello di acquisire ancora più
esperienza, dimostrandosi sempre più aperta
nei confronti delle esigenze e delle opinioni dei

innovation, qui bouleversa les habitudes des voyageurs
en Europe. Depuis l’introduction du concept de vols
à bas prix au Royaume-Uni, nous avons transformé
easyJet en une compagnie aérienne à réelle vocation
Européenne. Avec l’aide du personnel easyJet, mais
bien entendu grâce à vous tous, nos clients, nous
transportons aujourd’hui près de 50 millions de
passagers par an, sur nos 540 routes à travers 29 pays.
Ces 15 prochaines années, nous nous attacherons
à améliorer davantage l’expérience easyJet. Et c’est
toujours avec beaucoup de plaisir que nous recevrons

Es ist ganz unglaublich, wie weit wir seit diesem ersten
Flug von Luton nach Glasgow 1995 gekommen sind.
Als Stelios easyJet gründete, war dies eine echte
Innovation. easyJet veränderte die Art und Weise
der Menschen zu reisen. Zunächst führten wir das
Konzept günstiger Flüge in Großbritannien ein, und
mit der Hilfe aller easyJet-Mitarbeiter und natürlich
von Ihnen, unseren Kunden, sind wir zu einer wahrhaft
europäischen Fluggesellschaft angewachsen, die jährlich
fast 50 Millionen Passagiere auf 540 Strecken in 29
Ländern befördert.
Es ist uns klar, dass beim Schritt in die nächsten
15 Jahre unser Service noch viel wichtiger sein wird.
