Options<br />
Council has the following options available:<br />
1. Commit to the implementation <strong>of</strong> traffic management on Galbraith Road<br />
2. Advise petitioners that no traffic calming measures will be put into place<br />

Legislative Implications<br />
There are no relevant legislative implications pertaining to this matter.<br />
Financial Implications<br />
The expenditure is in accordance with the budget.<br />
Conclusion<br />
Traffic data indicates that the average motorist is exceeding the legal speed limit along<br />
Galbraith Road and the resultant crash data supports this assessment. The location <strong>of</strong><br />
services such as primary schools, family centres, churches and parks strengthens the need<br />
for traffic management in this area. An appropriate traffic pacifier can be put into place<br />
within the current road reserve limits and it is anticipated this can be completed within the<br />
currnet year‘s maintenance budget.<br />

RECOMMENDATION<br />
That Council:<br />
1. Resolve to support the implementation <strong>of</strong> traffic management measures in<br />
Galbraith Road<br />
2. That residents are advised <strong>of</strong> the outcome<br />
