Options<br />

Council has the following options available:<br />

1. Accept the tender from Skipper trucks for the purchase <strong>of</strong> a side load rubbish truck<br />

for the amount <strong>of</strong> $299,690.<br />

2. Not accept the tender from Skipper trucks for the purchase <strong>of</strong> a side load rubbish<br />

truck for the amount <strong>of</strong> $299,690.<br />

There are no relevant policy implications pertaining to this matter.<br />

Legislative Implications<br />

There are no relevant legislative implications pertaining to this matter.<br />

Financial Implications<br />

A budget amendment resolved by Absolute Majority will be required. This will increase the<br />

expenditure amount <strong>of</strong> Account Number G/L 402054 by $12,150 and a reduction in income<br />

from trade <strong>of</strong> P092 by $14,150.<br />

Conclusion<br />

The panel believes that the <strong>of</strong>fer provided by Skipper trucks for the purchase <strong>of</strong> a side load<br />

rubbish truck provides the best outcome for Council.<br />

Voting Requirements<br />

Simple.<br />

RECOMMENDATION<br />

That Council:<br />

Accept the tender from Skipper Trucks for tender P01-09/10 for the purchase <strong>of</strong> a<br />

side load rubbish truck for the amount <strong>of</strong> $299,690 (Exclusive <strong>of</strong> GST)<br />

AND<br />

That Council approves a budget amendment for Account Number G/L 402054 by<br />

$12,150 increased expenditure and a reduction in the income from the trade <strong>of</strong> P092<br />

by $14,150.<br />
