Appendix XXII. Model user instruction<br />

This appendix is a manual of using the Simulink models. These models require<br />

MATLAB 2006a or later academic version. The simulation time period should be set as<br />

a integer multiple of the breath cycle.<br />

XXII.1 The Fluid dynamic and re-breathing model<br />

The input blocks in this model are shadowed. The “normal” patient’s breath load<br />

provided in this model is shown below. The patient’s breath load and the shape can be<br />

adjusted or replaced when necessary.<br />
