• Aquatics experience: Developing aquatics programs for all levels <strong>of</strong> swimmers. Developing and overseeing<br />

a comprehensive budget. Coordinating swim lesson programs and pre-competitive programs. Coaching all<br />

levels <strong>of</strong> swimmers from learn to swim to national level. Pool maintenance experience. Hiring, training and<br />

supervising lifeguards, assistant coaches, swim instructors and <strong>of</strong>fice staff. Contract negotiation and on-site<br />

management <strong>of</strong> parent run organizations, USA Swimming groups and events, multi-sport clubs and<br />

organizations and other related groups and events.<br />

• Aquatics courses: Lifeguard Training, CPR for the Pr<strong>of</strong>essional Rescuer, AED, First Aid, Safety Training<br />

for Swim Coaches, Certified Pool Operator, American Swim Coaches Association Levels I, II and III as well<br />

including ASCA World Conferences and Pacific Swimming Coaches conferences. Speaker at the 2008<br />

ASCA world conference in Las Vegas.<br />

• Previously a member <strong>of</strong> the Board <strong>of</strong> Directors for Pacific Swimming (Age Group chair and Zone 1 N Chair)<br />

• Pacific Swimming Age Group coach <strong>of</strong> the year in 2012.<br />

• Zone 1 North Volunteer <strong>of</strong> the year in 2011.<br />

• Attended a select coaches summit at the Olympic Training Center in 2012.<br />

• Head Coach <strong>of</strong> the Pacific Swimming 2004 Western Zone All Star Team (Redding)<br />

• Head Coach <strong>of</strong> the Pacific Swimming Diversity camp in 2012.<br />

• Head Coach <strong>of</strong> the Pacific Swimming 11-12 select camp in 2006, 2002 and 2001<br />

Pr<strong>of</strong>essional Experience<br />

May 2002-present <strong>California</strong> Sports Center<br />

Aquatics Manager/Head Masters Coach<br />

Develop and oversee a comprehensive aquatics program at a joint use facility<br />

(Fremont High School and the <strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Sunnyvale</strong>.) Since its inception in 2002, the<br />

program has grown to over 170,000 annual participation hours, including programs<br />

such as lap and open swim, swim lessons, masters swimming, water polo, lap swim,<br />

recreational swim, pre-competitive program, triathlon programs and rental groups<br />

(several swim schools and USA swim team.) Manage a staff <strong>of</strong> over 34 part time<br />

employees and 2 full time employees, including coaches, instructors, guards and<br />

<strong>of</strong>fice staff. Directly oversee the CSC Masters swim program.<br />

2001-present Palo Alto Stanford Aquatics, Palo Alto <strong>California</strong><br />

Head Age Group Coach-Rinconada site<br />

Coordinate and develop two groups <strong>of</strong> swimmers ages 12-14. Oversee the age<br />

group program, which includes over 280 swimmers ages 14 and under and three<br />

assistant coaches. Since joining the Palo Alto Swim Club in 2001 (now Palo<br />

Alto Stanford Aquatics) the team has grown to over 1,200 swimmers. One <strong>of</strong><br />

several coaches who founded PASA, a USA gold medal club which is currently<br />

the ranked 6 th in the country and 1 st in Pacific by USA swimming.
