About the petition<br />
I SUPPORT CALIFORNIA SPORTS CENTER – A petition for <strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Sunnyvale</strong> RFP 0610-34.<br />
<strong>California</strong> Sports Center (CSC) has operated the <strong>Sunnyvale</strong> Swim Complex at Fremont High school in <strong>Sunnyvale</strong><br />
since the opening in July <strong>of</strong> 2002. Since then, CSC has improved and increased programming to <strong>of</strong>fer 171,000<br />
annual participation hours in a variety <strong>of</strong> aquatics programs. In addition, CSC has worked closely with the<br />
Fremont Union High School District as well as outside rental groups such as <strong>Sunnyvale</strong> Swim Club.<br />
The current agreement between the <strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Sunnyvale</strong> and <strong>California</strong> Sports Center will expire on August 31,<br />
20<strong>13</strong>. The <strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Sunnyvale</strong> has released a request for proposals for future operations <strong>of</strong> the pool.<br />
By signing this petition, I have been satisfied with <strong>California</strong> Sports Center as the contracted operator <strong>of</strong> the pool<br />
and am in support <strong>of</strong> the <strong>City</strong> contracting with <strong>California</strong> Sports Center for future operations.<br />
