We propose a facility use fee that begins at $50,000.00 per year and increases at a rate of 2.5% per year each year for six years. The total paid for the facility use over 6 years would be $319,386.83. This is specifically outlined in the 6 year Operating Business Plan Summary, see Attachment 7. The year would be defined as September 1 – August 31. We would pay the fee as invoiced or agreed. As outlined all defined utilities would be paid as invoiced by the City. The 6 year extension (year 7-12) option would be a mutually agreed adjustment, but no less than the 6 th year’s annual facility use fee of $56,570.41. E. EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS CSC would propose to work with the City to improve the facility in many ways that relate to customer service requests by clients and for improved maintenance. Pending approvals from the City and the District, this should include building a permanent cover for the waiting area and bleachers for parents of students in lessons. CSC has already invested in the furniture needed for all the areas. Regular maintenance and replacement would occur annually or as needed. Annual budgets include expenditures for up to $7,000 per year for new equipment and supplies to support the facility and programs. CSC has also budgeted for up to $34,900 in initial equipment and facility improvements if awarded the contract. These improvements would include but are not limited to: • Improved mounted shading over the parent viewing area. • Signature portable fencing for the parent viewing area. • Interior painting of the locker rooms, offices, and staff room. • New matting for the locker rooms (Versa runner locker room matting.) • New aluminum tip and roll bleachers for the parent viewing area. • A scan card system for regular program use. This is also part of planned improvement for online/auto payments, registrations, and participant tracking. • New carpeting in the staff room and offices. In addition, CSC maintains the following equipment that is utilized by multiple users of the pool, including rental groups and high school programs: • 2 digital daktronics pace clocks (valued at $1,100 each) • 2 analog Marik pace clocks (valued at $300 each) • 2 CJ wood backboards (valued at $350 each) • Table and bench seating in parent viewing area (valued at $1,100) F. YEARLY OPERATIONS BUSINESS PLAN SUMMARY CSC has attached its Yearly Operations Business Plan Summary, Attachment 7, for the proposed 6 years of operation, as required per RFP Attachment B. This was submitted for each year and in a one page summary of all 6 years. The City’s facility use fee is outlined as $50,000 in the first year and an increase of 2.5% each year thereafter to the end of the first 6 years. CSC would maintain all operational income and expenses as outlined including improvements as agreed. Annual operating expenses are over $745,000 to maintain and improve the level of services outlined. As outlined in this document, our annual budgeting process begins in November each year for the fiscal year January-December. As the pools first and only operator for the past 11 years, we would simply like to negotiate a modified closure for our outlined improvements and/or agreed capital expenditures during the end of August or early September. We are the only operator that can guarantee continued operations at this pool with limited disruption. All items #1-9 above have been addressed as continuing operations. H. SIGNATURE In closing, we look forward to working with the City of Sunnyvale to continue the operations at the Sunnyvale Swim Complex and hope that this proposal meets with the City’s approval. If selected for the opportunity to negotiate a new contract, CSC will work closely with the City staff in all aspects of providing the community with outstanding diverse programs.
