4.3 General attendance of individuals aged 5 years and older at educational institutions
In 2011, 35,9% of individuals aged 5 years and older attended an educational institution. Table 3 shows
that, nationally, just under 89% of individuals above the age of five years attended school, while a further
4,3% attended universities. By comparison, only 1,6% of individuals attended further education and training
(FET) colleges.
