of Grantluim. It was at the grammar school of Grantham that Sir Isaac Newton,<br />

a native of the neighbouring village of TToolsthorpe, received his early education.<br />

<strong>The</strong> borough boasts a fine parish church, has works for the manufacture of agricul-<br />

tural machinery, <strong>and</strong> carries on a profitable trade in corn, malt, <strong>and</strong> coal. Its<br />

neighbourhood is much frequented by fox-hunters.
