Introduction<br />

This <strong>Problem</strong> <strong>Determination</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>Service</strong> <strong>Guide</strong> contains information to help you solve<br />

problems that might occur in your ES7000 Model 7600R G2 server. It describes the<br />

diagnostic tools that come with the server, error codes <strong>and</strong> suggested actions, <strong>and</strong><br />

instructions for replacing failing components.<br />

Replaceable components are of two types:<br />

• Customer replaceable unit (CRU): Replacement of CRUs is your responsibility. If<br />

Unisys installs a CRU at your request without a service contract, you will be charged<br />

for the installation.<br />

• Field replaceable unit (FRU):FRUs are replaced by Unisys. FRUs must be<br />

installed only by trained service technicians.<br />

detailed in the Unisys contract.<br />

For information about getting service <strong>and</strong> assistance, see Appendix A, <strong>Service</strong>s <strong>and</strong><br />

This printed document contains instructions for installing the server in a rack.<br />

• Safety Information<br />

This document is in PDF on the Documentation CD. It contains translated caution <strong>and</strong><br />

danger statements. Each caution <strong>and</strong> danger statement that appears in the<br />

documentation has a number that you can use to locate the corresponding statement<br />

in your language in the Safety Information document.<br />
