RESULTS<br />

Forty pr<strong>of</strong>essionals took part in this study. Two <strong>of</strong> these did not specify their discipline<br />

and so were not included in the descriptive analysis displayed in the table below.<br />

The mean years in service ranged from 2.6 to 8.2, with Clinical Psychology and<br />

Psychiatry having the same average years and ‘Other’ having the most i.e. 8.2 years.<br />

Most (75%) <strong>of</strong> the pr<strong>of</strong>essionals had not read any best practice guidelines regarding ward<br />

rounds.<br />

Question 1: What factors are considered most and least important in ward round<br />

practice amongst all pr<strong>of</strong>essionals?<br />
