BEFORE the Session starts: Sessions Outline Session I1 Be there 15 minutes ahead of time. Write the FOUR STEPS (with sub- heads) on the blackboard. Ee sure that chairs are arranged around a table. If no table is available have chairs arranged in a U shape. Have a supply of job breakdown sheets, sample completed break- downs and time table, some blank sheets, and several piecesof wire. Time Table (Allow I. OPENING the Session. 5 min. ) 1. Greet group, expressing gratification at I 1 I / their interest in improving WAR PRODUCTION through better JOB INSTRUCTIO!.J, as evi- denced by their presence. 2. Ey appropriate remarks create INFORMAL AT- MOSPHERE and put GROUP AT EASE. 3. Review first session briefly. 4. Emphasize keynote: IF THE WORKER HASN'T LEARNED, THE INSTRUC- TOR HASN'T TAUGHT. IT. The sole purpose of these two demonstrations is to SELL THE NEED AND NECESSITY that Supervisors do definite planning BEFORE instructing. Jot down 011 a breakdown sheet, steps and key points as nearly as you can catch them as the demonstration is put on.
