Summary
The dog was maintained at home on enrofloxacin (7.8 mg/kg, PO q 24 hrs) and
clindamycin (15 mg/kg, PO, q 12 hrs) for four months, and amoxicillin/clavulanic acid
(21.5 mg/kg, PO, q 12 hrs) for two weeks. In the presented case, anti-inflammatory
drugs were used in addition to the broad-spectrum antibiotics.
The first study could confirm the hypothesis that the chemokine MIP-3β/CCL19 plays
a role in the pathogenesis of SRMA and MUO and is involved in the secondary injury
of SCI. Therefore, the chemokine MIP-3β/CCL19 may become a useful biomarker in
detecting and determining the extent of disease, estimating prognosis and
developing new treatment strategies.
