WARNING<br />

• Maintenance work must be carried out by<br />

expert engineer or skilled personnel and not by<br />

operators.<br />

• Before opening the cover, it is important to<br />

ensure that at least 10 minutes have passed<br />

since the power was turned off. Furthermore,<br />

opening of the cover must also be carried out<br />

by expert engineer or skilled personnel.<br />

CAUTION<br />

• Explosion protected type must be, as a rule,<br />

removed to a non-hazardous area for maintenance<br />

and be disassembled and reassembled<br />

to the original state.<br />

• The cover is locked by the special screw. In<br />

case of opening the cover, use the hexagonal<br />

wrench attached.<br />

• Be sure to lock the cover by the special screw<br />

using the hexagonal wrench attached after<br />

installing the cover.<br />

5.1 Changing Direction of<br />

Electrical Connection<br />

(4) Using the hexagonal wrench, loosen the screw in<br />

the neck.<br />

(5) Turn the converter or the terminal box in the<br />

desired direction.<br />

NOTE<br />

The converter and the terminal box can be<br />

turned –140 degree to +180 degree from the<br />

arrow mark indicating the flow direction. Do not<br />

exceed these angle.<br />

(6) Using the hexagonal wrench, retighten the neck<br />

screw.<br />

IMPORTANT<br />

The following types can not be changed direction<br />

of electrical connection after delivery.<br />

• Submersible Type.<br />

• Optional code DHC (for district heating and<br />

cooling or condensation-proof).<br />

• Size of 1100 mm (44 in.) or larger.<br />

(1) The following tools are required to change the<br />

direction of the electrical connection:<br />

• Hexagonal wrench (nominal size 1.5): Comes<br />

with the instrument.<br />

• Wrench<br />

(2) Turn off the power to the flowmeter.<br />

(3) Using the wrench, loosen the hexagonal nut at the<br />

neck of the instrument.<br />

(7) Using the wrench, retighten the hexagonal nut at<br />

the neck. After that, check that the converter or<br />

terminal box is fixed.<br />
