4.4.1 Permissible mounting positions for single-bearing<br />

generators<br />

Single-bearing generators are mounted directly to the<br />

engine. Thus, a horizontal mounting position is<br />

predetermined by the engine.<br />

When ordering the generator, the position of the<br />

terminal box has to be specified (or the position of<br />

the cable lead-out or the control box, depending on<br />

the version).<br />

The following mounting positions are possible:<br />

• Terminal box on top<br />

• Terminal box turned by 45° or 90° to the left or<br />

to the right<br />

No other mounting positions are permitted!<br />
