4.7 Installation of two-bearing generators (BG 160)
For installing generators of the size BG 160 proceed according to the
descriptions in this section 4.7. Prior to installation, read and understand the
safety precautions in section 4.1 as well as the sections 4.2 to 4.4 and observe
the instructions and information given there.
CAUTION
On both sides of the generator, a lifting eye bolt is provided for
attaching lifting equipment. Lifting equipment may only be
attached to the generator using these lifting eye bolts. Only
appropriate lifting equipment may be used.
4.7.1 Dimensions and mounting (BG 160)
The minimum clearances and regulations for cooling given in section 4.7.2 must
be met for installation. The dimensions of the generator can be found in the
drawing sheet included in the annex.
The generator has to be fastened using
four screws (min. requirements: M12 or
comparable, quality 8.8). The fastening
must be durable as well as shock and
vibration resistant. The screws must be
secured against self-acting unscrewing by
suitable measures, e.g. a clamp collar
according to DIN 128.

No other parts may be mounted to the mounting
profiles of the generator housing.
