5.6 Operation of the generator<br />

CAUTION<br />

Only take the generator into operation after you have completely<br />

read <strong>and</strong> understood all sections of this chapter 5, particularly the<br />

safety precautions given in section 5.1 on page 73.<br />

If your generator is equipped with the option "Insulation<br />

monitoring with switching-off", the correct function of the<br />

insulation monitoring unit has to be checked every working day.<br />

The generator may only be taken into operation, if the correct<br />

function of the insulation monitoring unit has been confirmed.<br />

5.6.1 Control elements in the control box (if available)<br />

Figure 27 shows all possible control elements <strong>and</strong> indicators in the control box<br />

optionally mounted on the generator (insulation monitoring unit <strong>and</strong> hour meter<br />

are also optional).<br />
