Chapter 8, Removal
8.3.1 Removal of single-bearing brush-type generators
Work prior to removal and removal of the carbon brushes holder
1. Disconnect the electric connection cables of the generator as described in
section 4.8 on page 70.
2. Unscrew the two screws M8 x 45, spanner size 10 mm, (Figure 31/2) and
detach the sleeve (1).
3. Remove both connection cables from the connection lugs of the carbon
brushes holder (Figure 31/5). The connection cables are coded by the width
of the connection lugs and therefore secured against interchanging.
4. Unscrew the fastening screw of the carbon brushes holder and detach the
carbon brushes holder (Figure 31/5).

- For shaft fastening by tension bolt continue on page 97.
