The Certificate of Completion (CCL) in Digital Photography is a<br />
program in the applied visual arts that prepares individuals to use<br />
artistic techniques to effectively communicate ideas and information<br />
to business and consumer audiences and to record events and<br />
people through digital photography. It includes instruction in<br />
specialized camera and equipment operation and maintenance,<br />
applications to commercial and industrial needs, and photography<br />
business operations. An Associate in Applied Science degree (AAS)<br />
is also available.<br />
Program Notes: Students must earn a grade of "C" or better in all<br />
courses within the program.<br />

This program is designed for the student who wishes to develop an<br />
area of specialization in Computer Art/Illustration. The program<br />
acquaints students with art principles and assists students in<br />
developing their abilities to solve design and compositional problems<br />
as related to the art. It allows for the development of an individual’s<br />
personal interest in this area, prepares students for employment, and<br />
upgrades skills of those already employed in this field. Employment<br />
opportunities are included in multimedia such as illustrator, artist,<br />
designer, paste-up artist, freelance artist-designer, graphic design<br />
artist, or multimedia artist.<br />
