The Associate in Applied Science in Gerontology provides an<br />
overview of the aging process from social, psychological, and<br />
biological perspectives. Normal aging along with common problems<br />
associated with aging are explored. The students gain experience in<br />
different settings/activities to enhance skills.<br />
Program Notes: Students must earn a grade of “C” or better in all<br />
courses required within the program.<br />

The Certificate of Completion in Gerontology: Aging Services<br />
Management provides practical in-depth consideration of<br />
management issues including strategies for personnel management;<br />
techniques for addressing executive management issues, and<br />
practice creating, interpreting, and using budgets. Addresses public<br />
policy and mechanisms for influencing it. Includes practical application<br />
in budget creation, interpretation, and use as well as preparation of<br />
written proposals for aging services.<br />
Program Notes: Students must earn a grade of “C” or better in all<br />
courses required within the program. The same GRN prefixed course<br />
cannot be used to satisfy both the Required Courses and the<br />
Restricted Electives areas, EXCEPT GRN275++.<br />
