The Office of Alumni, Development, and Scholarship Relations
provides an array of support services. The department is home to the
Phoenix College Alumni Association (PCAA) and its affiliated groups,
such as the Half-Century Club, which celebrates alumni who
graduated or attended the college fifty or more years ago, as well as
all Alumni Chapters. The PCAA provides excellent opportunities
throughout the year for alumni to maintain or rekindle ties to Phoenix
College. Signature events include "Phoenix College History Makers,"
the Annual Alumni Hall of Fame Induction Dinner and Auction.
Volunteers are the lifeblood of the PCAA; whether it is mentoring
students, fundraising for scholarships, or serving on the board of
directors, alumni are regularly sought for their involvement throughout

The department also supports Development and Scholarship
Relations for the college. To establish a scholarship, provide funding
for program support, or for general information about giving
opportunities, please call the office. Phoenix College collaborates
with the Maricopa Colleges Foundation, a 501(c)(3) corporation, for
the purposes of receiving charitable contributions designated for
Phoenix College and its affiliated programs, departments, and
organizations.
Thanks to the generous support of alumni, employees, retirees,
business partners, and friends of the College, there are a number of
private scholarship opportunities available throughout the year to
Phoenix College students. Among the scholarship services provided
by the department include: General scholarship advisement;
information on the status of a submitted application; information
about an existing scholarship; accessing copies of scholarship
applications advertised through the department; and scheduling a
scholarship workshop for a class or group, either on or off campus.

by calling the office, or sending an e-mail to scholarships@pcmail.
maricopa.edu. Students may also visit the scholarship bulletin board
located inside Hannelly Center on the main campus to find current
scholarship listings and applications.

The Phoenix College Athletics Department offers qualified students
the opportunity to compete in intercollegiate athletic competition in
the following sports: Men’s and Women’s Basketball, Baseball,
Men’s and Women’s Cross Country, Football, Men’s Golf, Men’s and
Women’s Soccer, Women’s Fast Pitch Softball, Men’s and Women’s
Track, and Women’s Volleyball.

Students are able to purchase all their course materials and much
more through the campus Bookstore located downstairs in the
Hannelly Center (Building HC). Textbooks and other merchandise
are also available to order online at www.phoenix.bkstr.com, 24
hours a day, 7 days a week. Note that the Bookstore policies listed
below are subject to change without notice.
Payment
The Bookstore accepts cash and most major credit cards, including:
VISA, MasterCard, American Express, and the Discover Card.
Imprinted personal checks issued from Arizona banking institutions
may be written for the amount of purchase with the following
criteria:
1. Name, address and telephone number must be imprinted
on the check.
2. Checks should be made payable to the Phoenix College
Bookstore.
3. Customer must provide valid forms of photo identification:
a current driver's license or Arizona state issued ID and a
second form of identification.
Refund Policy
Refunds are issued with the following criteria:
1. A valid sales receipt must accompany merchandise.
2. Merchandise must be in the original sale condition.
3. Course materials may be returned for full refund or
exchanged if the items are in the original sale condition
with sales receipt one week from the official start of the
Fall and Spring semesters.
4. Summer Sessions - course materials may be returned or
exchanged with the criteria previously stated seven days
from the official start of classes.
5. No refunds or exchanges will be made for course materials
purchased new that have been marked or removed from
any shrink-wrap packaging.
6. No refunds or exchanges will be made for course materials
purchased during the last week of classes or during
examination periods.
7. All non-text (course material) items may be returned, in
original condition, for a full refund or exchange ten days
from the date of purchase with valid receipt.
8. Refunds and exchanges will be made subject to the
discretion of the Bookstore personnel.
Buyback Policy
Cash or Bookstore gift cards are paid for used books throughout the
year. Book value depends on future class usage on the PC campus
and Bookstore inventory levels at the time of buyback transaction.
Cash payout is 50% of the original purchase price (while demand
exists). Students that choose a Bookstore gift card will receive an
additional 10% back on the card (see Bookstore personnel for
details). Once Bookstore inventory levels have been satisfied, the
bookstore will offer any current market value, based upon a national
college textbook market guide. These market values will also apply to
any current textbooks that are not used on campus. A valid picture
identification is required to sell your books.
In the best interests of the students, the Bookstore advises that
textbooks be sold as soon after your last class as possible for
maximum value.
