Practicum in clinical chemistry based in<br />

healthcare facilities or reference laboratories.<br />

Performance of clinical skills in clinical<br />

chemistry and testing for diseases of protein,<br />

nonprotein nitrogen compounds, lipid,<br />

glucose, bilirubin, liver disease, cardiac and<br />

endocrine function, toxicology, therapeutic<br />

drug monitoring, acid base balance,<br />

electrolytes, genetic diseases and inborn<br />

errors of metabolism, and trace elements.<br />

Application of quality assurance, quality<br />

control, mathematics and statistical analysis,<br />

specimen collection, and preanalytical<br />

processes. Performance of immunoassays,<br />

nucleic acid probes, viral and tumor markers,<br />

automation of analytical techniques,<br />

spectrophotometry, and point-of-care<br />
