RU Study Abroad Registration and Course Approval<br />
form outlining courses to be taken and<br />
approved before leaving to study abroad. Grade<br />
values are assigned as pass/fail and the awarding<br />
of specific course credit is determined at the<br />
conclusion of the experience and when official<br />
transcripts are received by the Registrar’s Office.<br />

Language instruction.<br />
Prerequisites: Permission of the Spanish program<br />
director and the department chair is required.<br />
Available Summer, Fall or Spring. Open<br />
to all majors.<br />
Students participate in a directed program of<br />
travel study designed to augment a student’s<br />
knowledge of the language, culture, and literature<br />
of Spain. Students will receive a minimum<br />
of 15 credit hours per week of formal language<br />
instruction in addition to being involved in a total<br />
immersion living situation. Permission by the<br />
department chair required prior to enrollment.<br />
Affiliate programs allow students to maintain<br />
RU student status while abroad, thus allowing<br />
them continued access to financial aid and future<br />
registration at RU. Students must complete an<br />
RU Study Abroad Registration and course Approval<br />
Form outlining courses to be taken and<br />
approved before leaving to study abroad. Grade<br />
values are pass/fail, and the awarding of specific<br />
course credit is determined at the conclusion of<br />
the experience and when official transcripts are<br />

Prerequisites: Consult Director of International<br />

Open to all majors. Courses taken in this program<br />
must be taken for letter grades, and will be<br />
used in calculating student’s GPA unless prohibited<br />
by their RU program requirements.<br />

with the Université Catholique de<br />
l’Ouest in Angers, France. (Semester<br />
Exchange Program) (3-15)<br />
Prerequisite: Two years of undergraduate study.<br />
Available Spring semester, students receive 15<br />
credit hours and pay in-state tuition to <strong>Radford</strong><br />
<strong>University</strong>. A program is also offered in the<br />
Summer with slightly different criteria - see<br />
the RU Summer Program for additional information.<br />

Glasgow, Scotland. (12-18)<br />
Prerequisites: Music majors only. Students<br />
are expected to have an average 3.0 GPA<br />
or better to be accepted. Available Spring<br />
semester and academic year.<br />
This is an exchange program whereby music<br />
majors with a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA are<br />
invited to apply to study at one of the oldest and<br />
most prestigious institutions in the United Kingdom.<br />
Exchange programs allow RU students to<br />
study abroad while paying RU tuition. Hours<br />
earned are treated as if completed at RU for<br />
