with captioned tissue guards, very occasional spotting, original<br />

wrappers printed in gold, uncut, glacine wrapper (a few small<br />

tears and defects, most to lower panel, tears repaired), preserved<br />

in modern board slip-case, a good copy, folio, Paris, 1922.<br />

Bois Dormant premiered in the Mariinsky Theatre, St. Petersburg,<br />

on 15th January, 1890 with choreography by Marius Petipa.<br />

Diaghilev’s Ballet Russes performed the work as The Sleeping<br />

Beauty during the 1921 season.<br />
