*** Bruno’s classic on the art of memory. His feats of memory, using<br />

mostly mnemonic skills, were viewed as magical. He attracted the<br />

attention of Henri III, to whom the present work is dedicated and<br />

by whom he was appointed one of the lecteurs royaux and Cantus<br />

to Henri d’Angoulême.<br />
