of red wax seal, n.p., Friday (is it?), if so May 21, n.y. [1827/28],<br />

“There is such an art[icle] in the Review, and a very interesting<br />

one, in which I recognise everywhere the hand of Southey; though<br />

for a comprehensive art[icle] on the Moors in Spain, if that was<br />

designed, it seems to me to be imperfect. I send it though. Your<br />

invitation of some weeks back came in my absence; and was but<br />

very lately seen by me. Your invitation for next Sunday there<br />

is some fraction of a doubt whether I shall be able to accept.<br />

I hope that the fraction will vanish,” tear along central fold<br />

repaired, preserved in a custom made modern panelled calf box.<br />
