Start-Up Procedure<br />
Shutdown<br />
The following steps should be taken if a loss of sample flow is expected for<br />
more than one day. These procedures will prevent possible build-up of<br />
caustic reagent vapors in the monitor.<br />
Warning: Be sure to read and observe the following requirements!<br />
Danger: Turn off air pump prior to removing reagent bottle. The air<br />
pump will spatter caustic reagent outward as bottle is removed. Wear<br />
rubber gloves and safety goggles to avoid possible injury from reagent<br />
residues in the system.<br />
To access air pump, press . Press / to scroll though<br />
parameters until TEST appears in marquee window.<br />
Press to access TEST menu. Use / to scroll through<br />
submenu until AIr appears in main display.<br />
Press . Press / to toggle between On/OFF setting for air<br />
pump power.<br />
Note: Changing air pump On or OFF will be indicated by a click sound.<br />

to accept the setting and returns user to TEST sub menu.<br />

1. Shut off the sample flow prior to the analyzer inlet. Refer to Chapter<br />
IV, Flow Regulation.<br />
2. Disconnect the power. Refer to Chapter II, Wiring the Instrument.<br />
3. Drain the flow cell.<br />
4. Remove the reagent bottle and store it in a well-ventilated area, such as<br />
a laboratory fume hood.<br />
5. Carefully pull the ammonia and reference electrodes out of the top of<br />
the flow cell and let them hang by their connectors.<br />
6. Locate the protective end cap from reference electrode kit and place on<br />
base of reference electrode. This will prevent the reference electrode<br />
from drying out.<br />
