Calibration
Span Check
Procedure
The Thermo Scientific Orion 2110XP ammonia monitor remains in
sample mode during the entire procedure.
1. Fill flow cell to calibration level (V 0 , approximately 95 mL).
2. Note concentration displayed when reading is reasonably stable (C 0 ).
3. Add standard 1, volume V 1 , with concentration C 1 .
4. When reading is reasonably stable, note concentration (C S ).
5. The noted value should be within ± 10% of the calculated value
according to:
C S = (C 0 x V 0 + C 1 x V 1 ) / (V 0 + V 1 )
• C 1 should be ammonia concentration actually in the standard
bottle.
