<strong>Mari</strong> <strong>Ann</strong> <strong>Callais</strong> was born in 1965 to Karen and Evan J. <strong>Callais</strong>, Jr. and lived in Buras,<br />
Louisiana, until she moved to attend college in 1983.<br />
<strong>Mari</strong> <strong>Ann</strong> graduated in 1987 from Loyola University in New Orleans, Louisiana, with a<br />
bachelor’s degree in political science. In 1991, she received a master’s degree in education<br />
administration and supervision from Our Lady <strong>of</strong> Holy Cross College in New Orleans, Louisiana.<br />
<strong>Mari</strong> <strong>Ann</strong> has attended Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where she<br />
is pursuing doctoral work in educational leadership, research, and counseling.<br />
<strong>Mari</strong> <strong>Ann</strong> was employed as the Director <strong>of</strong> Student Organizations/Greek Life at<br />
Southeastern Louisiana University, in Hammond, Louisiana, from July <strong>of</strong> 1991 until August <strong>of</strong><br />
2001.<br />
<strong>Mari</strong> <strong>Ann</strong> is currently on the faculty at Mississippi State University in Mississippi<br />
Starkville, Mississippi. She is the Program Coordinator for the Student Affairs program in the<br />
Educational Counseling/Educational Psychology Department.<br />
<strong>Mari</strong> <strong>Ann</strong> is the recipient <strong>of</strong> numerous honors and awards: Theta Phi Alpha Fraternity’s<br />
National Achievement Award, Southeastern Interfraternity Conference Advisor <strong>of</strong> the Year 1996<br />
& 2001, Balfour Fellowship recipient, Theta Phi Alpha Fraternity Scholarship recipient, Order <strong>of</strong><br />
Omega Fellowship recipient, Leadership Youth Seminar Lifetime Achievement Award, and<br />
Sigma Sigma Sigma National <strong>Sorority</strong> Advisor <strong>of</strong> the Year Award.<br />
<strong>Mari</strong> <strong>Ann</strong> is a member <strong>of</strong> the National Association <strong>of</strong> Student Personnel Administrators,<br />
Association <strong>of</strong> College Personnel Administrators, and the Association <strong>of</strong> Fraternity Advisors.<br />
