account the differences between their basic conventions, and those used in<br />

this thesis.<br />

The notation used for the quantities appearing in the potential and field<br />

It is shown that the Kolsrud–Leer four-potential agrees with that extractable<br />

from the author’s derivation in Chapter 5.<br />

The Cohn–Wiebe field expressions are converted into the notation used in<br />

this thesis. It is shown that results obtained by the author in Chapter 5<br />

Appendix E provides a brief derivation of the most general electromagnetic<br />
