23.5 Once you have a well-thought-out idea, give your all to making it bear fruit.<br />

Have no time for any criticism and nay saying others may pour on you.<br />

Realize that making your idea bear fruit necessitates overcoming obstacles,<br />

and being persistent and oh-so determined. e satisfaction from achievement<br />

is not only in the end result, but in the journey.<br />

23.6 ose people who realize out-of-the-ordinary achievements are regular<br />

mortals like the rest of us. But they grabbed their good ideas and invested<br />

whatever was needed to make the ideas bear fruit. We can all do this.<br />

Achievement has much more to do with belief and sheer determination than<br />

talent and academic qualifications. ere is a lot more than a grain of truth<br />

in the adage, “Success is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration.”<br />

23.7 You can make at least some of your dreams come true. Even huge accomplishments<br />

are achieved by notching up lots of little accomplishments. But<br />

you have got to start, NOW! Life is in short supply and the years quickly slip<br />

by.<br />

23.8 Start with your own training program. Having read this book you will have<br />

clicked, theoretically, with the value and effectiveness of hard work and progressive<br />

poundages on abbreviated routines of basic exercises. But will you<br />

give your all for a few years to such abbreviated training programs?<br />

23.9 Imagine that food supplements had never been invented, and that there were<br />

no bodybuilding drugs and no equipment innovations beyond the basics of<br />

what a home gym needs. en, with the unswerving application of what this<br />

book teaches, this “primitive” situation would deliver umpteen times more<br />

progress for the masses than what is actually being delivered today, despite<br />

the plethora of supposed and even actual advances.<br />

23.10 Do not waste chunks of your life before finally learning this truth. So few<br />

people learn it, and nearly all who do must first waste years, if not decades of<br />

their lives. What usually happens is people assume resistance training cannot<br />

work for them, and thus give it up.<br />

23.11 Really get into your training and see how much you can do to make it more<br />

productive, enjoyable and rewarding. Get each day right, again, and again,<br />

and again. en you will get the weeks right, and the months. And then you<br />

will really start to get somewhere. Become the master of your time, and your<br />

life!<br />
