Senate Bill No. 261 By Senator Hines
June 21, 2004
To the Honorable President and Members of the Senate and the
Honorable Speaker and Members of the House of Representatives.
Ladies and Gentlemen:
We, the conferees appointed to confer over the disagreement
between the two houses concerning Senate Bill No. 261 by Senator
Hines, recommend the following concerning the reengrossed bill:
1. That the set of House Committee Amendments proposed by
the Committee on House and Governmental Affairs and adopted
by the House of Representatives on June 17, 2004, be adopted.
2. That the House Floor Amendments proposed by
Representative Montgomery and adopted by the House of
Representatives on June 17, 2004, be adopted.
3. That the following amendments to the reengrossed bill be
adopted:
AMENDMENT NO. 1
In House Committee Amendment No. 3, proposed by the
Committee on House and Governmental Affairs and adopted by the
House of Representatives on June 17, 2004, on line 9, change
"qualified applicant" to "applicant who meets the qualifications for
the position set by the school board"
