On page 16, between lines 1 and 2 insert the following:<br />

"Section 3. R.S. 45:1206 is hereby enacted to read as follows:<br />

§1206. Energy Efficiency Fund<br />

R.S. 45:1206 is all proposed new law.<br />

The public service commission shall adopt rules and regulations<br />

to establish and provide for the Energy Efficiency Fund which shall<br />

ensure a strategic approach to furnish key energy solutions for<br />

weatherization for residential customers and commercial small<br />

businesses, energy payment assistance, commercial economic<br />

development, and emission credits."<br />

adopted. Senator Fontenot moved to reconsider the vote by which<br />

the report was adopted and laid the motion on the table.<br />

CONFERENCE COMMITTEE REPORT<br />

Senate Bill No. 859 by Romero<br />

June 21, 2004<br />

To the Honorable President and Members of the Senate and to<br />

the Honorable Speaker and Members of the House of<br />

Representatives:<br />

We, the conferees appointed to confer over the disagreement<br />

between the two houses concerning Senate Bill No. 859 by Senator<br />

Romero recommend the following concerning the Engrossed bill:<br />

1. That House Committee Amendments Nos. 1 and 2 proposed<br />

by the House Committee on the Administration of Criminal<br />

Justice and adopted by the House of Representatives on June<br />

10, 2004, be adopted.<br />

2. That House Floor Amendment No. 1 proposed by<br />

Representative Durand and adopted by the House of<br />

Representatives on June 17, 2004, be adopted.<br />

3. That House Floor Amendment No. 2 proposed by<br />

Representative Durand and adopted by the House of<br />

Representatives on June 17, 2004, be rejected.<br />

4. That House Floor Amendments Nos. 1 and 2 proposed by<br />

Representative Jack Smith and adopted by the House of<br />

Representatives on June 17, 2004, be adopted.<br />

4. That the following amendments to the engrossed bill be adopted:<br />

AMENDMENT NO. 1<br />

On page 1, at the end of line 14, insert "Regardless of any change in<br />

boundaries, there shall be no change in the distribution of any<br />

proceeds attributable to the licensed activity."<br />
