study all aspects of increasing the number of judges of the First<br />

Circuit Court of Appeal, supreme court districts, and associate<br />

A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION<br />

To direct the governor of the state of <strong>Louisiana</strong>, the president of the<br />

Senate, and the speaker of the House of Representatives to,<br />

individually or jointly, take appropriate action to prohibit<br />

smoking throughout the state capitol thereby creating and<br />

declaring the capitol a "smoke-free" environment.<br />

cooperation with the Regional Transit Authority to allow the<br />

proposed Desire Streetcar to cross the Norfolk Southern<br />

Railroad tracks at the intersection of St. Claude Avenue at Press<br />

Street in New Orleans.<br />

with monitoring children in foster care, and to make<br />

To request the House Committee on Health and Welfare and Senate<br />

Committee on Health and Welfare to meet and function as a<br />

joint committee to study and recommend policy directives for<br />

the state of <strong>Louisiana</strong> regarding issues related to juvenile<br />

competency, which may include the implementation of a pilot<br />

project to develop a process of competency determination,<br />

restoration, and mental health intervention, recommendations for<br />

a plan of statewide implementation, and determination of the<br />

cost of implementation.<br />

properties between the Butte La Rose Interchange on I-10 in St.<br />

Martin Parish and U.S. Highway 190 in St. Landry Parish in<br />

Krotz Springs, <strong>Louisiana</strong>, and to make recommendations<br />

regarding same to the House and Senate Transportation,<br />

Highways and Public Works Committees prior to the<br />

commencement of the 2005 Regular Session.<br />

HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 351—<br />

A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION<br />

To create an advisory committee to study water transportation<br />

development and expansion in St. Martin Parish including but<br />

not limited to identify ing the need for such development and<br />

expansion and identifying potential funding sources and to make<br />

recommendations to the House and Senate Transportation,<br />

Highways and Public Works Committees prior to the<br />

commencement of the 2005 Regular Session.<br />
