The Chair declared the Conference Committee Report was<br />
adopted. Senator Heitmeier moved to reconsider the vote by which<br />
the report was adopted and laid the motion on the table.<br />
CONFERENCE COMMITTEE REPORT<br />
House Bill No. 904 By Representatives Hammett and Futrell<br />
June 17, 2004<br />
To the Honorable Speaker and Members of the House of<br />
Representatives and the Honorable President and Members of the<br />
Senate.<br />
Ladies and Gentlemen:<br />
We, the conferees appointed to confer over the disagreement<br />
between the two houses concerning House Bill No. 904 by<br />
Representatives Hammett and Futrell, recommend the following<br />
concerning the reengrossed bill:<br />
1. That Senate Committee Amendment No. 1 proposed by the<br />
Senate Committee on Transportation, Highways and Public<br />
Works and adopted by the Senate on June 1, 2004, be adopted.<br />
2. That Senate Committee Amendments No. 2 through 4 proposed<br />
by the Senate Committee on Transportation, Highways and<br />
Public Works and adopted by the Senate on June 1, 2004, be<br />
rejected.<br />
3. That the Legislative Bureau amendment adopted by the Senate<br />
on June 2, 2004, be rejected.<br />
4. T hat the following amendments to the reengrossed bill be<br />
adopted:<br />
AMENDMENT NO. 1<br />
On page 2, line 23, after "plate." delete the remainder of the line,<br />
delete line 24 in its entirety, and from the beginning of line 25 delete<br />
"plates."<br />
AMENDMENT NO. 2<br />
On page 2, line 26, after "vehicles" delete "and the supplier of such<br />
plates"<br />
AMENDMENT NO. 3<br />
On page 3, line 5, after "plate" insert a period "." and delete the<br />
remainder of the line and delete line 6 in its entirety<br />
AMENDMENT NO. 4<br />
On page 3, at the end of line 9, delete "for" and from the beginning of<br />
line 10, delete "the supplier"<br />

We, the conferees appointed to confer over the disagreement<br />
between the two houses concerning House Bill No. 1227 by<br />
Representative Hill, recommend the following concerning the<br />
engrossed bill:<br />
1. That the Senate Committee Amendments proposed by the<br />
Senate Committee on Local and Municipal Affairs and adopted<br />
by the Senate on May 24, 2004 be rejected.<br />
