Senator Dardenne asked for and obtained a suspension of the<br />

rules for the purpose of considering the Conference Committee<br />

The Chair declared the Conference Committee Report was<br />

adopted. Senator Dardenne moved to reconsider the vote by which<br />

the report was adopted and laid the motion on the table.<br />

House Bill No. 635 By Representative Quezaire<br />

June 21, 2004<br />

To the Honorable Speaker and Members of the House of<br />

Representatives and the Honorable President and Members of the<br />

Senate.<br />

Ladies and Gentlemen:<br />

We, the conferees appointed to confer over the disagreement<br />

between the two houses concerning House Bill No. 635 by<br />

Representative Quezaire, recommend the following concerning the<br />

engrossed bill:<br />

1. That Senate Floor Amendment Nos. 1 and 4, proposed by<br />

Senator Ellington and adopted by the Senate on June 17, 2004,<br />

be rejected.<br />

2. That Senate Floor Amendment Nos. 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9<br />

proposed by Senator Ellington and adopted by the Senate on<br />

June 17, 2004, be adopted.<br />

3. That the following amendments to the engrossed bill be adopted:<br />

AMENDMENT NO. 1<br />

In Senate Floor Amendment No. 3, proposed by Senator Ellington<br />

and adopted by the Senate on June 17, 2004, on page 1, line 13, after<br />

"regulations;" insert "to repeal authority of the department to<br />

authorize repair or replacement of certain sign structures;"<br />

AMENDMENT NO. 2<br />

In Senate Floor Amendment No. 9, proposed by Senator Ellington<br />

and adopted by the Senate on June 17, 2004, on page 1, delete line<br />

27, and insert the following: "On page 1, between lines 11 and 12,<br />

insert the following:"<br />

AMENDMENT NO. 3<br />

In Senate Floor Amendment No. 9, proposed by Senator Ellington<br />

and adopted by the Senate on June 17, 2004, on page 2, line 33, after<br />

"Promotion Association," and before "and" insert "the <strong>Louisiana</strong><br />

Association of Convention and Visitors Bureaus,"<br />

AMENDMENT NO. 4<br />

On page 1, delete line 2 in its entirety and insert the following:<br />

"To amend and reenact R.S. 48:274.1(A), 461.4(b)(4), and<br />

461.26(B) and to repeal R.S. 48:461.4(c)(2)(bb), relative to outdoor"<br />

AMENDMENT NO. 5<br />

On page 1, delete line 10 in its entirety and insert the following:<br />

"Section 1. R.S. 48:274.1(A), 461.4(b)(4) and 461.26(B) are<br />

hereby amended and"<br />

AMENDMENT NO. 6<br />

On page 3, between lines 10 and 11, insert the following:<br />

"Section 2. R.S. 48:461.4(c)(2)(bb) is hereby repealed in its<br />

entirety."<br />

AMENDMENT NO. 7<br />

On page 3, at the beginning of line 11, change "Section 2." to "Section<br />

3."<br />
