The following Senate Concurrent Resolutions returned from the<br />
House of Representatives with amendments were taken up and acted<br />
upon as follows:<br />
<strong>SENATE</strong> CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 15—<br />
BY SENATOR DARDENNE<br />
A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION<br />
To provide for a study of the benefits, risks and issues involved in,<br />
and the feasibility of establishing a defined contribution plan in<br />
the four state public retirement systems: <strong>Louisiana</strong> State<br />
Employees' Retirement System, Teachers' Retirement System<br />
of <strong>Louisiana</strong>, <strong>Louisiana</strong> School Employees' Retirement System,<br />
and <strong>Louisiana</strong> State Police Retirement System.<br />
The resolution was read by title. Returned from the House of<br />
Representatives with the following amendments:<br />

Amendments proposed by House Committee on Retirement to<br />
Original Senate Concurrent Resolution No. 15 by Senator Dardenne<br />
AMENDMENT NO. 1<br />
On page 1, line 3, after "plan" and before "in" insert "and a modified<br />
defined benefit plan"<br />
AMENDMENT NO. 2<br />
On page 2, line 12, after "plan" and before "for" insert "or, in the<br />
alternative, a modified defined benefit plan"<br />
AMENDMENT NO. 3<br />
On page 2, line 18, after "plan" and before "in" insert "and a modified<br />
defined benefit plan that provides for prospective changes in<br />
employee contribution rates, definitions of average compensation,<br />
base pay, earned compensation, computation of service credit,<br />
eligibility for retirement, retirement benefit options, the Deferred<br />
Retirement Option Plan, cost-of-living adjustments, and<br />
reemployment after retirement"<br />
AMENDMENT NO. 4<br />
On page 2, after line 20, insert the following:<br />
"BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Commission shall<br />
report its findings to the House and Senate committees on retirement<br />
on or before February 1, 2005."<br />
Senator Dardenne moved to concur in the amendments proposed<br />
by the House.<br />

were concurred in. Senator Dardenne moved to reconsider the vote<br />

<strong>SENATE</strong> CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 35—<br />
BY SENATOR FIELDS<br />
A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION<br />
To urge and request the East Baton Rouge Parish School Board to<br />
direct all school system employees to follow all state laws and<br />
rules and school board policies governing assignment of bus<br />
routes and requirements for in-service training of school bus<br />
operators.<br />
The resolution was read by title. Returned from the House of<br />
