The Chair declared the Conference Committee Report was<br />

adopted. Senator Lentini moved to reconsider the vote by which the<br />

report was adopted and laid the motion on the table.<br />

CONFERENCE COMMITTEE REPORT<br />

House Bill No. 510 By Representative Montgomery<br />

June 21, 2004<br />

To the Honorable Speaker and Members of the House of<br />

Representatives and the Honorable President and Members of the<br />

Senate.<br />

Ladies and Gentlemen:<br />

50th DAY'S PROCEEDINGS<br />

We, the conferees appointed to confer over the disagreement<br />

between the two houses concerning House Bill No. 510 by<br />

Representative Montgomery, recommend the following concerning<br />

the reengrossed bill:<br />

1. That Senate Committee Amendment No. 1 proposed by the<br />

Senate Committee on Senate and Governmental Affairs and<br />

adopted by the Senate on June 16, 2004, be rejected.<br />

2. That Senate Committee Amendments Nos. 2 and 3 proposed by<br />

the Senate Committee on Senate and Governmental Affairs and<br />

adopted by the Senate on June 16, 2004, be adopted.<br />

3. That the following amendments to the reengrossed bill be<br />

adopted:<br />

AMENDMENT NO. 1<br />

On page 1, change the author of the bill from "Representative<br />

Montgomery" to "Representative Murray"<br />

AMENDMENT NO. 2<br />

On page 1, line 2, change "enact R.S. 18:1505.2(Q)" to "amend and<br />

reenact R.S. 18:1505.2(L)(2)"<br />

AMENDMENT NO. 3<br />

On page 1, line 2, after "relative to" delete the remainder of the line<br />

and delete lines 3 through 13 and insert the following: "certain<br />

campaign contribution prohibitions; to provide relative to the<br />

inapplicability of prohibitions against campaign contributions, loans,<br />

and transfers of funds by certain persons substantially interested in<br />

the gaming industry in this state to certain accounts of political<br />

committees of recognized political parties organized under laws of<br />

another jurisdiction; to provide limitations; and"<br />
