Program Description
Under the direction of the Development Services Director, Administration is responsible for overseeing
and pr oviding managerial support f or the Comprehensive Planning, D evelopment Review, C ode
Enforcement, a nd Building S ervices Divisions. The D irector also serves a s l iaison t o t he P lanning,
Zoning and Appeals Board (PZA), is a board member of the Development Review Committee (DRC)
and interprets the provisions of the Land Development Code (LDC).
The Director also is the staff liaison with the City’s economic development consultant to ensure that the
tasks assigned to the consultant relating to the implementation of the Economic Development Strategic
Plan, business retention and recruitment and the creation of a Community Redevelopment Area (CRA)
are completed in accordance with approved work plans and contracts.
In addition to work program development and administration, the Administrative s taff represents the
City a t c ommunity me etings, serves as l iaison w ith Seminole County, t he School B oard a nd ot her
cities and participates in various regional, State, and legislative committees.

1. Ensure i mplementation a nd a ccomplishment of a ll pe rformance out comes of t he D evelopment
Services Department.
2. Ensure that all tasks assigned to the economic development consultant are completed in accordance
with the task order between the City and the consultant.
3. Ensure that t he cont ract be tween the C ity and the B uilding S ervices contractor a re com pleted in
accordance with the approved contract with respect to timeliness and customer service standards.
