Program Description<br />

Administration provides the managerial support as well as command, control and guidance to the Department’s six<br />

program areas <strong>of</strong> Community Policing/Patrol, Emergency Communications and Records, Community Relations/Outreach<br />

and Criminal Investigations, Community Response Team and Training. Administration's role is focused on upholding and<br />

supporting all federal, state and municipal laws; safeguarding and respecting the constitutional rights <strong>of</strong> citizens; and to<br />

improving the quality <strong>of</strong> life in the <strong>Oviedo</strong> community.<br />

The Administration program also includes the Department’s Pr<strong>of</strong>essional Standards Unit (responsible for Internal Affairs,<br />

Accreditation and staff inspections).<br />
