RAINY RIVER DISTRICT SOCIAL SERVICES
ADMINISTRATION BOARD
(hereinafter called the "Employer")
Of The First Part

THE CANADIAN UNION OF PUBLIC EMPLOYEES
AND ITS LOCAL 4807
(hereinafter called the "Union")
Of The Second Part
ARTICLE 1 PREAMBLE/RECOGNITION
1.01 Preamble
The general purpose of this Agreement is to establish and maintain collective bargaining
relations between the Rainy River District Social Services Administration Board and the
employees covered by this Agreement; to provide for ongoing means of communication
between the Union and the Employer and the prompt disposition of grievances and the final
settlement of disputes and to establish and maintain mutually satisfactory wages, hours of work
and other conditions of employment in accordance with the provisions of this Agreement.
It is recognized that the employees wish to work efficiently together with the Employer to secure
the best possible care and health protection for patients.
1.02 Feminine / Masculine Pronouns and Plurals
Wherever the feminine pronoun is used in this Agreement, it includes the masculine pronouns
and vice versa where the context so requires. Whenever the singular is used in this Agreement,
it shall also mean the plural and vice versa where the context so requires.
