22.08 Call-­‐Back<br />

Where employees are called back to work after having completed a regular shift, and prior to<br />

the commencement <strong>of</strong> their next regular shift, they shall receive a minimum <strong>of</strong> four (4) hours <strong>of</strong><br />

work or four (4) hours pay at the rate <strong>of</strong> time and one-­‐half (1½) their regular earnings.<br />

22.09 Standby<br />

An employee who is required to remain available for duty on standby, outside the normal<br />

working hours for that particular employee, shall receive standby pay in the amount <strong>of</strong> three<br />

dollars and twenty cents ($3.20) per hour for all hours on standby.<br />

Standby pay shall, however, cease where an employee is called into work under Clause 22.08<br />

above and works during the period <strong>of</strong> standby.<br />

22.10 Temporary Transfer<br />

Where an employee is assigned temporarily to perform the duties and assume the<br />

responsibilities <strong>of</strong> a higher paying position in the bargaining unit, he shall be paid the rate in the<br />

higher salary range immediately above his current rate for all hours worked in the higher paying<br />

position.<br />

Where an Employer temporarily assigns an employee to carry out the assigned responsibilities <strong>of</strong><br />

a classification outside the bargaining unit, the employee shall receive an allowance <strong>of</strong> four<br />

dollars ($4.00) for each shift from the time <strong>of</strong> the assignment.<br />

22.11 Shift and Weekend Premiums<br />

Employees shall be paid a shift premium <strong>of</strong> one dollar ($1.00) per hour for all hours worked<br />

between 1530 and 0730 hours.<br />

One dollar ($1.00) per hour will be paid as weekend premium for all hours worked between<br />

2400 hours Friday and 2400 hours Sunday, or such other 48-­‐hour period as may be agreed upon<br />

by the local parties.<br />

ARTICLE 23 -­‐ HOLIDAYS<br />

23.01 Number <strong>of</strong> Holidays<br />

There shall be twelve (12) holidays. The Employer recognizes the following dates as paid<br />

holidays for all full-­‐time employees:<br />

New Years Day<br />

Civic Holiday<br />

Family Day<br />

Labour Day<br />

Good Friday<br />

Thanksgiving Day<br />

Victoria Day<br />

Remembrance Day<br />

2 nd Monday in June Christmas Day<br />

Canada Day (July 1 st ) December 26 th (Boxing Day)<br />
