A copy <strong>of</strong> the current HOODIP plan text or, where applicable, the master policy <strong>of</strong> the current<br />
HOODIP equivalent shall be provided to the <strong>Union</strong> to the extent that this is within the possession<br />
<strong>of</strong> the Employer.<br />
19.03 Employment Insurance Commission (EIC)<br />
The short-‐term sick leave plan shall be registered with the Employment Insurance Commission<br />

in this <strong>agreement</strong>.<br />
19.04 Sick Leave With Full Pay<br />
Sick leave with full pay will be granted to regular full-‐time employees on the following basis:<br />

When sick leave is claimed, pro<strong>of</strong> <strong>of</strong> disabling sickness or accident will be furnished by a<br />
certificate from a duly qualified medical practitioner, unless waived by the Employer.<br />
When sick leave is claimed and upon the request <strong>of</strong> the Employer, pro<strong>of</strong> <strong>of</strong> the disabling<br />
sickness or accident will be furnished by certificate from a duly qualified medical<br />
practitioner.<br />
19.03 Medical Certificates<br />
The Employer shall pay the full cost <strong>of</strong> any medical certificate required <strong>of</strong> an employee.<br />
19.04 Termination <strong>of</strong> Sick Leave Benefits<br />
Sick leave benefits will cease on termination <strong>of</strong> employment, on reaching normal retirement age<br />
or death.<br />
An employee absent by reason <strong>of</strong> sickness or accident may elect not to take sick leave with pay.<br />
19.05 Injury Pay<br />
If an employee is injured on the job and his supervisor excuses him from further duty for the<br />
alance <strong>of</strong> that shift<br />
and there shall be no deduction from sick leave or other credits.<br />
