ARTICLE 5 UNION SECURITY<br />
5.01 T4 Slips<br />
The Employer will provide each employee with a T4 supplementary slip showing the dues<br />
deducted in the previous year for income tax purposes where such information is available or<br />
ystem.<br />
5.02 Notification to the <strong>Union</strong><br />
The Employer shall provide the <strong>Union</strong> with documentation as it occurs <strong>of</strong> all hirings, lay-‐<strong>of</strong>fs,<br />
recalls and terminations within the bargaining unit.<br />
5.03 Employee Interview<br />
A new employee will have the opportunity to meet with a representative <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Union</strong> in the<br />
employ <strong>of</strong> the Rainy River District Social Services Administration Board for a period <strong>of</strong> up to<br />
fifteen (15) <br />
The purpose <strong>of</strong> the meeting will be to acquaint the employee with such representative <strong>of</strong> the<br />
<strong>Union</strong> and the <strong>collective</strong> <strong>agreement</strong>.<br />
Such meetings may be arranged <strong>collective</strong>ly or individually for employees by the Employer as<br />
part <strong>of</strong> the orientation program.<br />
5.04 No Other Agreements<br />
No employee shall be required or permitted to make any written or verbal <strong>agreement</strong> with the<br />
Employer or its representative(s) which conflicts with the terms <strong>of</strong> this <strong>agreement</strong>.<br />
No individual employee or group <strong>of</strong> employees shall undertake to represent the <strong>Union</strong> at<br />
meetings with the Employer without proper authorization from the <strong>Union</strong>.<br />
5.05 Dues Deductions<br />
It shall be a condition <strong>of</strong> employment for all employees, that amounts equivalent to regular<br />
monthly union dues will be deducted from their wages and remitted to the <strong>Union</strong>; such<br />
deductions will commence in the month following employment.<br />
Deductions shall be made in each pay period and forwarded to the Secretary-‐Treasurer <strong>of</strong> the<br />
<strong>Union</strong> not later than the 15 th , in the month following, accompanied by a list <strong>of</strong> names, status,<br />
department and site <strong>of</strong> all employees from whom deductions have been made.<br />
