15.1 Clearing a mail jam from the autofeeder<br />
Envelope misfeed<br />
In the unlikely event of an envelope misfeed, the following procedure<br />
must be followed:<br />
WARNING!<br />
POWER DOWN MACHINE BEFORE CONTINUING.<br />
DO NOT RUN MACHINE WITH FEED MECHANISM OPEN<br />
1. Remove all free envelopes from the feed tray;<br />
2. Open the Autofeed top cover;<br />
3. Using the thumb and fore finger,<br />
squeeze the sliders to release the<br />
feed mechanism as illustrated;<br />
4. Remove the obstruction;<br />
5. Close the feed mechanism by<br />
applying downwards pressure<br />
to the top of the feed mechanism<br />
until it is heard to click home;<br />
6. Close the Autofeed top cover;<br />
7. Power Up your machine.<br />
You are now ready to resume franking your mail<br />
15.2 Clearing error messages<br />
In the unlikely event of an error message being displayed, the<br />
following procedure must be followed:<br />
ERROR MESSAGES REMEDY<br />
Error 1 to Error 43 Press until back to <strong>User</strong> screen.<br />
If the Error does not clear, please call our Customer Care Centre.<br />
