24V / 0V power supply The TAINY xMOD operates with direct current of from 12-60 V DC,<br />

nominally 24 V DC. This power supply is connected at the screw terminals<br />

on the left-hand side of the device.<br />

The current consumpt<strong>io</strong>n is about 450mA at 12V and 100mA at 60V.<br />

Warning:<br />

The power supply unit of the TAINY HMOD-V3-IO is not isolated.<br />

Please observe the safety instruct<strong>io</strong>ns at the beginning of this manual.<br />

Note:<br />

Make sure that the supply source is sufficiently dimens<strong>io</strong>ned. Instable<br />

operat<strong>io</strong>n may occur if the supply is too weak.<br />

Setup<br />

The TAINY xMOD has an In port. The In port has connect<strong>io</strong>ns at the screw<br />

terminals on the right-hand side of the device. The terminals are designated<br />

I1+/I1-.<br />

Warning:<br />

The In port is galvanically insulated against all other terminals of the TAINY<br />

xMOD. If the external installat<strong>io</strong>n being connected to the TAINY xMOD<br />

connects a signal of the In port galvanically to a power supply signal of the<br />

TAINY xMOD, the voltage between each signal of the In port and each<br />

signal of the power supply may not exceed 60V.<br />

The TAINY xMOD-V3-IO has a switching output. The switching output has<br />

its connect<strong>io</strong>ns at the screw terminals on the right-hand side of the device.<br />

The terminals are designated O1a/O1b.<br />

UMax = 30V; IMax = 20mA<br />

The switching output is active (switch closed) if at least one VPN connect<strong>io</strong>n<br />

is established.<br />

The switching output is not active (switch opened) if no VPN connect<strong>io</strong>n is<br />

established.<br />

Warning:<br />

The switching output is galvanically insulated against all other terminals of<br />

the TAINY xMOD. If the external installat<strong>io</strong>n being connected to the TAINY<br />

xMOD connects a signal of the switching output galvanically to a power<br />

supply signal of the TAINY xMOD, the voltage between each signal of the<br />

switching output and each signal of the power supply may not exceed 60V.<br />
