Status, log and diagnosis<br />

Funct<strong>io</strong>n The TAINY xMOD can transfer the system log once per day via FTP (= File<br />

Transfer Protocol) to an FTP server.<br />

Enable remote logging<br />

(FTP upload)<br />

The current system log and the system log files in the archive are<br />

transferred. After successful transfer the transferred logs are deleted in the<br />

TAINY xMOD.<br />

If the transfer fails, the TAINY xMOD -IO tries once again to transfer the data<br />

after 24 hours.<br />

Note<br />

After an unsuccessful FTP upload, the log files are stored under<br />

Maintenance > Remote Logging.<br />

Time Specifies the Time at which the logs are to be transferred.<br />

FTP Server Specifies the address of the FTP server to which the log files are to be<br />

transferred. The address can be specified as a hostname (e.g. ftp.server.de)<br />

or as an IP address.<br />

Username Specifies the username for logging in to the FTP server.<br />

Password Specifies the password for logging in to the FTP server.<br />

The service snapshot downloads important log files and current device<br />

settings that could be important for fault diagnosis and saves them in a file.<br />

If you contact our customer service in the event of a problem with the TAINY<br />

xMOD, in many cases they will ask you for the snapshot file.<br />

Note<br />

This file contains the access parameters UMTS/GPRS and the addresses of<br />

the remote stat<strong>io</strong>n. It does not contain the username and password for<br />

access to the TAINY xMOD.<br />
