Part of DOC’sInternational Trade Administration, TANC (through the Trade Agreements Compliance Program)systematically moni<strong>to</strong>rs, investigates, and evaluates foreigngovernment compliance with our international trade agreements. Thisfree program is available <strong>to</strong> assist all U.S. exporters or inves<strong>to</strong>rs facingtrade barriers, but it is particularly valuable <strong>to</strong> small and medium-sizedcompanies, which often lack the resources or expertise <strong>to</strong> deal withthese problems alone. It is the U.S. government’s one-s<strong>to</strong>p shop forgetting help <strong>to</strong> reduce or eliminate those barriers.The TANC website includes a fully searchable database containing thetexts of approximately 250 international trade agreements. Assistance with compliance with export controls and, if needed, exportlicenses can be obtained directly from your local BIS district office or from the Outreach andEducational Services Division within the BIS’s Office of Exporter Services in Washing<strong>to</strong>n, DC.
